We use quality materials – our labs are built to last.
Our standard worktops are Trespa TopLab®PLUS or TopLab®BASE. We’ve also got the experience to know which one is best suited to your application.
APMG’s casework is 18 mm MDF as standard – with absolutely no chipboard used in the construction of our furniture. None. It’s just not strong enough to meet our standards.
Because we use larger, thicker steel sections than many furniture makers our steelwork has industry-leading levels of strength and longevity. This maximises the load-bearing capacity of our tables and benches.
Speaking of load-bearing, our Cantilever benching system can support a load of over 200 kg (as per BS EN 13150:2001). So can our pedestal benching (as per BS EN 14727:2005). We’ve tested it.
Even our hinges are a bit special – we’ve had them independently tested by the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) to confirm their strength. Because we’re picky like that.
If you want to tailor your lab we’ll work with you to make the perfect lab for your application. Want all Trespa® construction? Laminated MDF doors? Velstone worksurfaces? No problem.

Our 2900 m2 factory in Greater Manchester is equipped with modern machinery. It houses a skilled workforce of experienced, time-served craftsmen who take great pride in the standard of their work. We even have our own steelwork, powder coating and plastic fabrication departments.
Due to our in-house manufacture, we have full quality control over every item that leaves the factory. Plus we can flex our production to meet the most demanding deadlines.
And because we make our own products, we can easily produce bespoke items. Need non-standard cupboard sizes, specialist drawer inners, colour-matched steelwork? Just ask.
