Our creative team is experienced in prep room design and the requirements of CLEAPSS. We understand the zoning required to ensure your school prep room is fit for purpose and easy to use. APMG has the furniture design and manufacture capabilities to optimise each area.
We can provide customised secure chemical storage cupboards; chemical resistant benching for chemicals preparation and dispensing; shelving; racking; and fixed and mobile cupboards. This is because all of our furniture is manufactured in our own factories in Greater Manchester. This gives us the freedom to design to special size requirements. Whatever dimensions and configuration you want, just ask us. Our experienced designers and time-served craftsmen will ensure your prep room is as perfect for your needs as possible.
For school prep rooms the CLEAPSS G9 guidance advises a fume cupboard width of 1500mm to accommodate the sink. However, we understand the practicalities of design for this area. Due to the typically limited space, a compromise of 1200mm is acceptable, which still allows sufficient working space.
APMG’s fixed ducted fume cupboards meet CLEAPSS G9. They have been type-tested to BS EN 14175 for use in prep rooms.
