APMG’s robust lab furniture showcased at UKSPA S-Lab conference 2019

By Louise Barnes

APMG will be displaying its laboratory furniture manufacturing skills at this year’s UKSPA S-Lab Conference between 2-3 April. The company is taking examples of its long-lasting lab furniture to the Birmingham University venue to demonstrate the quality of material, design and craftsmanship that is integral to an APMG lab.

‘We have clients whose APMG labs are still operational, fit for purpose and looking good after twenty years of service in a tough educational environment,’ says Chris Brown, APMG’s Laboratory Furniture Director. ‘That longevity is a testament to the high-quality materials we use and the robust construction of our lab furniture.’

‘In addition to our fixed furniture, we offer a range of hard-wearing mobile furniture that makes it easy to reconfigure a lab as floorplans evolve, repurposing space and avoiding the need for replacement furniture.’

It’s not only longevity and flexibility that contribute to APMG’s reputation for safe, strong labs. APMG also manufactures plastic ducting, plastic centrifugal fans, fume scrubbers and fume extract systems. APMG’s designers work closely with architects and clients designing labs where fumes, gases and dust must be neutralised and safely vented to the atmosphere, using their expertise to advise on the most energy-efficient and effective methods of fume removal.

‘Our experience of fume extract systems complements our furniture ranges, enabling us to offer our clients a single point of contact for their laboratory furniture needs,’ adds Chris.

‘Obviously, we always endeavour to purchase our materials from auditable, sustainable sources – even the mild steel we use to produce our exceptionally strong lab furniture frames is all produced in the UK.

‘We’re really looking forward to seeing our existing clients, meeting new ones and discussing opportunities at the UKSPA-S-Lab conference. If you can’t visit us at our stand, contact us and we’ll be delighted to help with your enquiry.’
